TEMPORARY GENERAL ACCOUNTANT
Duty station: Hanoi, Vietnam

Position Profile
The AIP Foundation is seeking a full-time position of Temporary General Accountant based in Hanoi, reporting to the Senior Finance Manager of AIP Foundation. A key focus of this position is to perform initial reviews of financial documents to ensure compliance with tax laws and financial regulations, prepare and maintain accurate financial records, manage payroll and personal income tax (PIT) calculations, and handle tax declarations for the assigned country offices.
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities listed below are inclusive, but not exhaustive, of the role. It is reasonable to assume that additional tasks will be required, as and when necessary.
- Check Payment Request, Advance Request, Clearance Report of Vietnam office to ensure the expenses and supporting documents are complied with approved budget, internal policies, tax regulations and donors’ requirements (if any).
- Prepare payment/receipt vouchers for bank and cash of Vietnam office.
- Prepare bank payments and other banking transactions in Vietnam.
- Prepare bank reconciliation reports for all countries (Thailand, Cambodia, USA, Vietnam) at month-end.
- Record financial transactions accurately in the accounting system and ensure that up-to-date accounting data is available to the Chief Accountant and Senior Finance Manager upon request.
- Be responsible for filing and maintaining accounting documents, consultant contracts, office lease agreements, supplier contracts, and other related documentation.
- Provide supporting documents relating to projects’ financial report to donors as required.
- Be responsible for preparation monthly payroll in a timely manner.
- Keep all accountancy, salary and other sensitive information confidential.
- Be in-charge of personal income tax (PIT) calculations, and handle tax declarations for Vietnam office.
- Act as contact point and coordinate with public service agencies such as the Insurance Department, Tax Department… for Vietnam office to ensure compliance with current regulations.
- Be responsible for document filling (accountancy, consultant contracts, office lease contract, contract with suppliers, etc.).
- Provide guidance on accounting procedures to other staffs and partners, as necessary.
- Assist Chief Accountant in preparation of finance data for audit.
- Carry out ad-hoc duties as required.
Requirements: Qualifications, Experience, Skills
- Bachelor’s degree with major in Finance or Accounting
- At least 3 years of working experiences in similar role
- Proven written and verbal English
- Good interpersonal communication skills and time management skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
