Call for application of the project Pillar 1: Disaster Risk Reduction and Rapid Response in Viet Nam

Corus leads an ensemble of social impact organizations working together in the world’s most fragile settings to deliver the holistic, lasting solutions needed to overcome the interconnected challenges of poverty, health care access and climate change. Corus is a new model in the international space, creating a consortium of specialized non-profit and for-profit entities for greater impact.

 

The anticipated program in Vietnam is component of a global initiative for health and humanitarian assistance to support the delivery of integrated, life-saving health services through faith and community-based hospitals and clinics in more than 20 countries. In anticipation of this award, LWR is soliciting organizations to implement activities in support of the project Pillar 1: Disaster Risk Reduction and Rapid Response.

 

The purpose of this Request for Application (RFA) is to solicit applications for funding from eligible organizations to implement the activities described herein under the anticipated project in Vietnam. The project is up to 10 months project addressing health security and disaster preparedness in central cities/ provinces – e.g Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang, as well as in Northern provinces -Lao Cai, Son La.

 

Eligibility

To be eligible for consideration, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a legally registered nonprofit organization registered to conduct business in Vietnam.
  • Have a proven track record of implementing projects in public health, health security and/or disaster preparedness.
  • Possess the necessary technical expertise and capacity to successfully implement the proposed activities
  • Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and policies, including those related to financial management, procurement, and reporting
  • Agree to be subject to a pre-award assessment carried out by LWR staff to determine that the applicant has sound management in the form of financial, administrative, and technical policies and procedures
  • Must have an active Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) please find the attached for UEI guidance

Applications that do not meet the eligibility criteria listed above will not be evaluated and will be disqualified.

 

Award Information

Intended Start Date and Duration of Subaward(s): October 20, 2026 – July 31, 2027

Total Funding Available: $218,000

Intended Range and Maximum Value of Individual Subawards: $50,000 – $110,000 (up to three subawards may be awarded to different organizations.

Place of Performance: TBD, but preferred areas include central cities/ provinces – e.g Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang, as well as in Northern provinces -Lao Cai, Son La.
