The NDC Transport Initiative for Asia II (NDC TIA II) is a regional project engaging in China, India and Viet Nam. The NDC-TIA II project aims to strengthen capacity and provide technical support to the transport sector improve the enabling conditions for implementing the policy framework for low-carbon transport transition, including the development of electric and green energy-powered vehicles, contributing to the implementation of Vietnam’s NDC. The Project Owner in Vietnam is the Academy of Construction Strategy and Cadres Training (ACST) – under the Ministry of Construction.
The Project is offering an internship opportunity as bellow:
Technical Intern on “NDC-Transport initiative for Asia – phase II”
Office Location: GIZ Office, 3rd floor Coco building, 14 Thuy Khue, Tay Ho Ward, Hanoi
Duration: 6 months, starting 20th October 2026
During the internship, the Intern will learn and practice in the following areas:
- Research and analysis on climate-friendly transport, transport decarbonisation, emission reduction and related sustainability issues, including literature review, data collection, synthesis and preparation of background materials;
- Preparation of reports, newsletters and briefings;
- PR and communication
- Organization and arrangement of project events (e.g. workshops, trainings);
- Project-related documents translation and proof reading (Vietnamese/English).
- Knowledge management: recording project information, maintaining document repositories and compiling reference materials;
- Project office administration
Minimum requirements:
- Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, a university programme in sustainability, environmental studies, climate change, economics, business, public policy, international development, transport or a related field;
- Can analyze and summarize information;
- Creative thinking;
- Interest in sustainable transport and international cooperation;
- Good communication skills;
- Vietnamese citizen;
- Have completed at least two years of your study or graduated not more than 6 months;
- Excellent at spoken and written Vietnamese and English;
- Confidence in usual office applications, such as MS Work, PowerPoint and Excel;
