KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Accounting and Finance (80%)
- Implement, maintain and update payment procedures in compliance with MSD policies, donor requirements and applicable Vietnamese laws and regulations;
- Review activity budgets and financial settlement reports;
- Collect, check, organize and maintain complete and accurate invoices, receipts and supporting documents for project activities;
- Process banking transactions and support periodic tax declarations and related procedures;
- Complete monthly accounting records and supporting documentation for assigned projects and submit them to the relevant supervisor by the 5th day of the following month;
- Regularly update and report on project expenditures, budget utilization and overall organizational spending;
- Monitor advances, reimbursements, payments and other accounting-related transactions;
- Support preparation of project financial reports, organizational financial reports and documents required for audits;
- Provide guidance and support to MSD staff, partner accountants and sub-grantees regarding financial procedures, accounting requirements and supporting documentation, when required;
- Perform other accounting and finance duties appropriate to the position as assigned.
2. Administration and Human Resources Support (20%)
- Manage and process incoming and outgoing correspondence and organizational documents;
- Support the implementation and monitoring of staff payroll and benefit-related procedures;
- Liaise with relevant social insurance authorities and support social insurance procedures;
- Manage and monitor organizational equipment, supplies and assets;
- Liaise with service providers, vendors and building management;
- Support other administrative and HR-related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field;
- At least three years of relevant professional experience;
- Proficiency in MISA accounting software;
- Previous experience in a similar position or in the NGO/non-profit/development sector is an advantage;
- Strong attention to detail, responsibility and commitment to accuracy;
- Proactive, enthusiastic and willing to learn;
- Good time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant computer applications;
- Good Vietnamese communication skills; proficiency in English is an advantage;
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team;
- Good communication and presentation skills;
- Commitment to gender equality, child rights and safeguarding principles, with no conduct that may harm the rights or interests of children or other vulnerable groups.
