The Swiss Tourism for Sustainable Development Project (ST4SD) is committed to fostering a more sustainable and inclusive industry in Viet Nam. Funded by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) and co-implemented by Helvetas Viet Nam and the CRED Tourism and Agriculture Solution Consulting Company Limited in the period of 2024 – 2027, the project is overseen by the Viet Nam National Authority of Tourism (VNAT) under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
The Swiss Tourism for Sustainable Development in Viet Nam (ST4SD) Project is organizing a contest for innovative and creative tourism marketing ideas focused on sustainable tourism in Viet Nam. The goal of the competition is to find and choose excellent ideas that will help sustainable tourism in Vietnam grow. The contest is scheduled to run from September to December 2025.
Contest Details
Eligibility: The contest is open to all individuals over 18, as well as private companies, non-profit organizations, and associations operating in Viet Nam. Private organizations in the marketing or tourism marketing fields are especially encouraged to apply. Candidates with at least three years of experience in sustainable tourism promotion projects will be considered favorably. Each person or institution may submit only one idea.
Requirements for submission:
- Submitted ideas must address a current challenge related to sustainable tourism and contribute to its development in Viet Nam.
- Priority will be given to ideas that focus on the provinces of Tuyen Quang, Da Nang, and Dong Thap, which are currently supported by the Project.
- Ideas should be innovative in their approach or business model.
- Submissions must be the full property of the candidate.
- All entries must be submitted using the Concept Note template provided by the Organizing Committee.
Awards: The contest will offer both financial and technical support to help implement the winning ideas. Up to 9,500 CHF, equivalent to 300 million VND, will be awarded in grant funding and implementation support for individuals and organizations with legal status and the capacity to carry out the idea.
