Position Title: Consultant – School DORMITORY HOUSE Survey and Design
Location: Can Chu Phin Primary School, Khau Vai Commune, Tuyen Quang Province
Contract Period: 31 July 2025 – 22 August 2025
Contracted Days: Approximately 20 days (depending on actual days worked)
Plan International in Vietnam is seeking an individual or group of consultants to conduct an assessment survey and Design of Dormitory for students of Can Chu Phin Primary School, Khau Vai Commune, Tuyen Quang Province. In addition, based on the assessment survey, develop and create designs for the improvements needed with costings and bill of quantities. Finally, this assignment also includes some revision of design during the inception period of the project.
The assignment will require travel to Can Chu Phin Primary School, Khau Vai Commune, Tuyen Quang Province to conduct the survey and Design for 03 days with the remaining design and costing work to be completed in consultation with the Plan International Vietnam team within 3-5 days. A further days will also be required in March 2026 to complete the revisions to design during the construction implementation. Therefore, the assignment will require approx. 20 days in total from August 2025 – March 2026.
The consultant will report the survey and develop the design and costings, in both Vietnamese and English, therefore fluency in English and Vietnamese being important requirements for the successful completion of this assignment.
All the outputs will be produced in English and Vietnamese. The field survey and meetings will be in Vietnamsess language and most will not be translated.

Expected Profile of the consultant/s: The Consultant is expected to have demonstrated in DORMITORY House Engineering, costings and design; fluency in English and Vietnamese (written and spoken). They must have a record of delivering assignments within stated timeframes and high quality standards of outputs.

- The daily should not include in-country work travel or accommodation as this will be arranged for and paid by Plan at standard rates.
- Your daily rate should include your own per diems and other costs needed to pay to government (Tax, VAT) and insurances if any. Plan will not pay per diems to consultants. Do not include separate per diem expense line.
