On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) and the European Union, GIZ is working with Viet Nam to achieve environmental, climate-neutral and inclusive development (just transition). Through this, it supports the protection of global public goods such as a clean environment and intact climate. To support Vietnamese Government in achieving these targets, GIZ Energy Support Programme (ESP) is working in various action areas to develop renewable energy and energy efficiency markets. ESP cooperates closely with the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT) and other key public and private actors to advance Viet Nam’s ambitious energy transition. Our work spans policy advice, capacity building, and market development in critical areas such as solar and wind energy, energy transition, energy storage, green hydrogen, balcony power system, green finance, coal phase-out, and smart grid development.
GIZ Energy Support Programme in Hanoi is offering an internship opportunity with details below:
National Intern
Office location: 4th, Unit 041 – 042, Coco Building, 14 Thuy Khe, Tay Ho, Hanoi.
Duration: 6 months, starting ASAP from February 2026
During the internship, the intern will learn and practice on:
- ESP portfolio: update, maintain, presentations preparation
- ESP events organization: meetings, workshops, training sessions, and other ESP events preparation including scheduling, participant registration, materials preparation, photocopy documentation, and meeting minutes
- Translation and proofreading between Vietnamese and English
Minimum requirements:
- Vietnamese citizens in the last year of their bachelor’s degree study or newly graduated students within 6 months upon commencement of the internship;
- Majoring in social science, sociology, sustainable development, international relations or similar are preferred;
- Interest in and basic understanding about the energy sector and/or in development cooperation is an asset;
- Eager to learn and develop skills in a professional environment;
- Proficiency with MS Office;
- Proficiency in English and Vietnamese;
- Good communication skills;
- Ability to do multi-tasks, work independently and efficiently.
Apart from a monthly internship allowance, the successful candidate will enjoy good learning environment and professional and dynamic working conditions.
