Position: Project Officer
Location: Hanoi, Vietnam (with required travel)
Contract: Full-time, fixed term (renewable)
1. Position Overview:
The Project Officer will support the Project Manager with the coordination, implementation, and monitoring of project activities. This role involves working closely with local partners, authorities, and the finance team to ensure activities align with the approved workplan, budget, and donor regulations. The position is suitable for both experienced professionals and outstanding recent graduates with a demonstrated commitment to development work.
2. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing and executing detailed activity plans at the provincial level. Coordinate with local partners (e.g., People’s Committees, mass organizations) to organize trainings, workshops, and community events.
- Ensure all activities are implemented on schedule and meet quality standards.
- Participate in preparing detailed activity budgets and cost justifications.
- Track expenditures against budgets and assist with internal financial reporting.
- Work with the finance team to ensure all spending is eligible, reasonable, and properly documented for reporting and audits.
- Collect, compile, and analyze field data.
- Draft activity reports, meeting minutes, and success stories.
- Support the updating of monitoring tools and track progress against project targets.
- Arrange logistics (documentation, invitations, materials) for trainings, surveys, and field visits.
- Maintain organized project records and archives.
3. Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Public Health, Environment, Social Sciences, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in project implementation.
- Recent graduates with excellent academic records or relevant experience (internships, volunteer work) are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Basic understanding of project budgeting and financial compliance.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Good command of English (especially for reporting).
- High integrity, attention to detail, and willingness to travel.
