1. OVERVIEW
LeaderInYou is a pioneering social enterprise dedicated to career development, personal talent empowerment, and the realization of individual values. Currently, LeaderInYou is implementing a series of youth development projects, primarily focusing on school mental health and AI literacy for real-life problem-solving.
Among them, the Youth Development Monitoring System (YDMS) — also known as the Me+ app, a 4.0 school mental health support platform — is an innovative initiative addressing mental health challenges among Vietnamese adolescents aged 10–15. The project is funded by Grand Challenges Canada (GCC), a non-profit organization supported by the Government of Canada to tackle humanity’s most pressing challenges in low- and middle-income countries.
In addition, LeaderInYou is implementing the AI Lab for Youth Innovation project, which empowers students (aged 10–15) to co-design AI-assisted solutions to real-life challenges. The project is funded by the APNIC Foundation (Asia Pacific Network Information Centre Foundation), a non-profit organization that supports sustainable Internet development across the Asia-Pacific region.
To ensure the effective implementation and outreach of these projects, LeaderInYou is seeking 01 Communications Officer to lead impactful communication activities that enhance visibility, engagement, and community impact.
2. PURPOSE
The Communications Officer will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication activities for LeaderInYou’s projects, particularly the ongoing YDMS project, with the aim to:
- Enhance the visibility and brand recognition of LeaderInYou and the Me+ application;
- Promote the values and impact of the projects within the community;
- Encourage participation from target audiences, especially users of the Me+ app;
- Foster engagement among youth, parents, schools, and other relevant partners in project activities.
3. SCOPE OF WORK
- Develop comprehensive communication plans for projects across different phases, aligned with project objectives and LeaderInYou’s overall strategy;
- Plan, coordinate, and implement communication campaigns according to key project milestones;
- Manage, edit, and produce communication content for project activities across LeaderInYou’s media channels;
- Ensure all communication materials comply with LeaderInYou’s branding guidelines, donor requirements, and cultural, linguistic, and visual standards;
- Support the preparation and organization of project-related events and activities;
- Collaborate with consultants and service providers in the production and implementation of communication materials and campaigns;
- Establish and maintain relationships with media and communication partners;
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on the effectiveness of communication activities, contributing to the project’s overall reporting.
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or other related fields;
- At least 1–2 years of professional experience in communication; experience working with non-profit organizations, social enterprises, or development projects is an advantage;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Excellent planning, writing, and content editing skills;
- Experience managing media channels and implementing both online and offline communication campaigns;
- Proficiency in using design and video editing tools;
- Creative, proactive, and eager to learn, with strong teamwork skills;
- Knowledge of or interest in youth development, mental health, or education is an advantage;
- Proficiency in English is an asset.
