Background
Vietnam’s infectious disease surveillance system operates across multiple levels—from national to commune—relying heavily on human resources, especially at local levels where early detection and response occur. However, the workforce faces key challenges, including uneven distribution, limited technical capacity, and the lack of standardized guidance and monitoring systems.
Currently, there is no comprehensive, up-to-date national overview of the surveillance workforce, constraining effective planning, resource allocation, and rapid deployment during emergencies. These gaps, highlighted during COVID-19 and other public health threats, have affected response efficiency.
To address this, FHI 360 seeks a contractor to work with Vietnam Administration of Disease Prevention to design and develop a Human Resource Intelligence System for Infectious Disease Surveillance.
